Functionalism, also known as structural-functionalism, considers society to be a structure with interrelated parts intended to meet the organic and social needs of the people in a society.
Émile Durkheim, another early humanist, connected Spencer's hypothesis to clarify how social orders change and get by after some time. Durkheim trusted that society is a mind boggling arrangement of interrelated and associated parts that cooperate to look after solidness (Durkheim 1893), and that society is held together by shared qualities, dialects, and images. He trusted that to think about society, a humanist must look past people to social certainties, for example, laws, ethics, values, religious convictions, traditions, style, and ceremonies, which all serve to oversee public activity.
Durkheim trusted that people may make up society, yet so as to consider society, sociologists need to look past people to social facts.
