There are a lot of women whose historical contributions were under-told. Like the native brave woman like General Agueda Kahabagan who played a significant role and big responsibility during the revolution. She is considered a brave native woman and only female general in the armed forces division of the Katipunan from the town called Sta. Cruz Laguna, Philippines. There a lot whom who don't know her at any all and does not have any idea who she is by the Filipinos people. It is extremely saddening indeed. However, her tremendous courage of her story should always be known by everyone and be remembered. She is first and only female general during the time of the war. Meanwhile during the revolution her contemporaries called her "Heneral Agueda".
Furthemore, her bravery as a Henerala was legendary. They often seen her in the battlefield wearing a dressed in white along with her armed rifle and a brandishing bolo. Not only that she is also famous for riding her horse with a bolo in one hand a rifle in another as well. Based on the historical records shows that she was commissioned by General Miguel Malvar to lead a detachment or to the lead troops of armed men with rifles and dagger. Her participation and leading the troops in the bloody combats against the Spanish and American forces, Let her to conferred and officially granted the title "General" on July 9, 1899.
Until now some Filipinos still might be a "shocking thing" for them when they find out that woman just like General Kahabagan actively participated and went to battle in field. Despite, that her tremendous courage of her story should always be remembered. Since, she is considered as an legendary figure in the the history of the Philippines. Not only that she is unknown which makes this part of what makes her so legendary.
